Jazmin Berakha est une artiste argentine. Elle vit et travaille à Buenos Aires. Ses oeuvres sont présentées pour la première fois à Paris du 22 décembre 2011 au 8 février 2012 chez ARTYDANDY. L’occasion de découvrir le travail délicat, minutieux et patient d’une artiste hors pair.

Jazmin Berakha explore les relations entre l’artisanat et l’art contemporain à travers une multitude de médium. Musicienne, réalisatrice, elle est aussi plasticienne. Elle a choisi la broderie comme moyen d’expression. Elle mène une investigation rigoureuse et patiente sur la fabrication moderne des images. Tantôt abstraites, tantôt figuratives, ses créations oscillent entre la pureté du motif et l’émotion de ses modèles figées dans des contemplations mystérieuses.

ARTYDANDY fidèle à sa vocation : sélectionner et présenter des objets singuliers a proposé à Jazmin Berakha de réaliser 5 pièces inédites représentatives de son travail d’orfèvre. Cette commande de plusieurs mois illustre un processus conscient du temps et de l’espace domestique. Pour cette première parisienne, l’artiste convoque 5 des ses modèles prisonnières de leur méditation dont la vie est suspendue à quelques fils.
